For the past ten-plus years, Devicix has been a leading source for outsourcing medical device product development. We’ve worked with our clients in Minnesota and around the world, and from single-doctor start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations. It’s been exciting for me to see Devicix grow into a confident and internationally recognized team delivering solutions to customers.
It was just over one year ago that Devicix LLC announced the acquisition by Nortech Systems, Inc. What Devicix had accomplished with its clients in the US and abroad was now complemented by Nortech’s global facilities in the US, Mexico and China for medical device manufacturing and component technologies. Together we are able to offer a single solution for taking innovative medical ideas all the way through commercialization in the US and abroad.
The past year has gone by quickly; we’ve been busier than ever and I’m excited to see the combination paying off for our customers particularly in shorter commercialization cycles. We’ve organized the teams across our locations, and have been expanding and adding depth to the Eden Prairie, Maple Grove, and Milaca sites. Hiring top-talent engineers, production staff and professionals is essential to maintaining our high quality standards and meeting customer demands for developing more complex programs and scaling manufacturing to much higher volumes than ever before.
We truly commercialize medical devices and “don’t just work on things”. That passion is reflected across our organization, and is important to our customers and ultimately patients. This service capability brings with it a significant level of clinical domain, market and technology knowledge, which myself and Bill Betten, our new Director of Business Solutions, share in industry group presentations and publications.
It’s an exciting time here and I’m pleased to be able to share our enthusiasm with our customers and partners. We are off to a great start and I look forward to being able to share more with you in the near future!
